มื้อเย็น

[First Impressions] Jeh O Chula If not because of a guest from Singapore, I might not have gone all the way to Jeh O Chula just to eat a picturesque Mama noodle. After the experience, I think it is probably worth the hype, because it is a proper Thai restaurant that makes good food and not a place that only makes Tom Yum instant noodles. That said, there were just 2 of us so the noodles we went for. My guest was satisfied enough, and I must say it was well-executed and looked pretty damn good. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, especially the minced pork balls and crispy pork. I would have preferred a version that takes away the Mama Tom Yum powdered seasoning completely (as I find the sourness very artificial) but that's just my personal preference. The crispy pork (one of the signatures of Jeh O), was excellent. Please note that some online articles indicate that the Tom Yum noodles will only be available after 11pm, but we were able to get our order for the noodles in at 10.30pm. Another tip is to go early. We were there slightly after 10pm and still had to take a queue number to get in, with 12 groups before us. We got our seats in less than half an hour. Once you get into the air-conditioned interior, it's extremely comfortable. When we left at 12.30am, the queue outside was out of control, and it was only a mid-month Thursday night. #bangkoklifehacks #jehochula #instagrammablefood #mama #tomyum #thai #thaifood #bangkokfoodies #strangerinbangkok #strangerfirstimpression #rettythailand
