[1-Michelin Star 2018] #Aug2018 Owned by the Thai-Australian duo ; Chef Bongkoch "Bee" Satongun and Chef Jason Bailey, Paste is one of the Thai restaurants that proudly recieved Bangkok's 1-Michelin Star earlier this year. The couple is already planing for expansion of Paste in Luang Prabang and Australia. But, for now, the Paste at Gaysorn Plaza is still the only place to go for the Michelin experience. The menus are inspired by century-old recipes and presented with a western flair, combining modern culinary techniques with long-forgotten methods. Ingredients are sourced from around the world, served with state-of-the-art presentation. Elevating simple Thai dishes to fine-dining delicacies. Having tried their lunch set menu, I'm especially impressed with the "Tom yum" soup and the curry. Both display an excellent balance between authentic Thai flavors and Paste's unique interpretation. Other menus, although not as outstanding, also show a high level of sophistication. Worth a try if you're a foodie seeking a memorable meal in Bkk.
