[2 Michelin Stars 2018] With its long-standing reputation that has stood the test of time for more than 40 years, and the recently acquired 2 Michelin Stars - you can safely say this is the best French fine-dining restaurant in Bangkok. While being an ultra-exclusive French food institution, the 3-course lunch set at a price of 1,800++Bht/person is quite accessible. A good way to experience the culinary talent of its Chef de cuisine - Arnaud Dunand-Sauthier at a wallet-friendly price. What makes lunch set interesting is it shows how basic ingredients can, with the hands of a skillful chef, turn into sophisticated dishes. I like the chef's interpretation of a classic Tartiflette. And the super tender roasted lamb paired well with Swiss Chard, goat cheese, and Iranian black lemon. The crepe suzettes were flambeed at the table side in true Breton style. And the cloud-like souffle was absolutely to-die-for! The lunch set is available from Mon-Sat at 12.00 - 14.00. The menu changes every 3 months or so. Those who want to try the chef's signature dishes like roasted pigeon or sea urchin in champagne sauce has to order a la carte or come for the 7-course dinner. Reservation required.
