[First Impressions] Wet Completing the triangle in Langsuan with Gaggan and Gaa comes Wet, the 'toilet speakeasy wine bar' helmed by Gaggan's long-time sommelier Vladimir, aiming to present his favourite wines and Gaggan's 'soul-food' in a playful environment. I generally don't listen to English music, but the soundtrack was blasting with familiar tunes growing up, an early win for Wet. I don't know much about wine, so I will not delve into it. What excites me most about Wet is the birth of a bar in Bangkok that places significant emphasis on its food offerings. The Chaat dish "Seductively Indian" was delicious, as were most other dishes I tried. The crowd pleasers will easily be the assortment of curries served with Basmati rice, as they are both yummy and substantial. Whether the food is "affordable" as stated in many online sources, I will leave you to judge for yourself, but I feel it's probably not at a price point for you to have a fulfilling dinner (unless you keep yourself to noodles and rice). It's a place more for enjoying tasty bar snacks as you chill the night away over wine and nostalgic numbers. #getwetbkk #langsuan #wet #nightlifebkk #strangerbehindbars #barfoodbkk #bangkokfoodies #strangerfirstimpression #strangerinbangkok
