HATCH by Jkhai Last week, I did my FB review on J'Khai, the seafood institution in Bangkok and mentioned that the 2nd generation is taking over in an exciting way. So here's what's happening, after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu in Australia, the young ones of J'Khai have returned to open Hatch right beside the seafood restaurant, giving the place new life (not as though they lack any). Aside of serving great bakery and coffee in the cafe itself, the offerings are also on the menu of the seafood restaurant, which explains why a lot of their ideas revolve around Thai-style ingredients like coconut, banana, sweet potato, mango etc., as they have to appeal to locals from all generations. A look at the pictures and you will see how well the desserts are executed, and they constantly add new specials too.
