This dessert shop reopened in the Tai Po food market center recently, one of the signature desserts is their sesame glutenious rice dumplings and black sesame soup. Generally speaking, the glutenious rice dumpling has a incredibly thin skin with scrumptious sesame and coarse peanut fillings, texture is soft and chewy too, can't resist to have more 🤤!! See more

Missing this bowl of rice which consisted of pork patty topped with fried egg, generally speaking, the portion of pork patty wasn't that much in compare to the rice, however didn't expect that the fried egg and the pork patty were perfectly fried with crispy edges which served with sweet soya sauce in such a bargaining price too 😋!! Strolling along the old district in this neighborhood where you can find a variety of hidden gem small shops, this little shop is famous for their homemade dumplings in this old district. We ordered the pan-fried dumplings with two choices of fillings; Beef, Chinese cabbage and mushroom. Generally speaking, thought the Chinese cabbage and mushroom dumping tasted more juicy than the beef and the dumpling skin was't crispy enough !! See more

It's sad to hear that this temporary food market in Haiphong road (海防道) was built since 1978 at Tsim Sha Tsui is going to demolish and rebuild in Nov, went to one of the famous food hawkers that specialized in beef balls, generally speaking, texture of the beef balls were quite firm and bouncy. Also, the price was very reasonable too. However, bear in mind that this place gets pretty stuffy inside especially in summertime when there isn't any air-conditioned so would recommend visiting here when the weather gets a bit cooler 😌!! Haven't been eating Taiwanese beef noodles for a while, knew they opened a new branch around this area and since haven't tried their first branch in cwb, so opted a bowl of traditional beef noodles. Generally speaking, thought the chunky thick beef cubes were pretty tender and the texture of the noodles were al dente yet the braised beef broth tasted too subtle unfortunately. See more

Finally I had all the pastries which I wanted to get them earlier after several attempts of visiting here, the scone was pretty moist and got a crunchy texture, served with clotted cream and their homemade jam. Ordered the cinnamon bun and thought the texture of the bun was a bit dry and dense, also, tasted rather sweet too . Last, but not the least, opted a matcha cream bun and a lemon cruffin. the matcha cream got a rather subtle matcha flavor yet the texture was moist and soft. Also, the lemon 🍋 cruffin was soft on the inside and flaky on the outside. See more

Who wants to have unlimited coffee 🤔? This cafe locates in the area of sumida-ku where you will find old shops and apartments buildings around here. Apart from having coffee, this cafe also offers a selection of coffee cocktails, had the " hot chocolate blossom- dark cherry", love the combination of espresso, single origin cacao and cherry brandy foamed milk, tastes a subtle of sweetness and well balanced of espresso and winery flavour, it's a pity don't have a second chance to visit during daytime 😌. Tonkatsu is one of the popular dishes in Japan which consists of a pork cutlet, coated with bread crumbs and deep fried. Also, it is served with raw shredded cabbage and a thick tonkatsu sauce. The two main cuts used for pork cutlet are "pork fillet" and the "pork roast". The difference between pork fillet and pork roast is pork fillet is made with a high quality lean pork tenderloin and it's more expensive while pork roast tends to be more succulent due to the fact it has layers of marbled fat. Therefore, I would say it's totally up to personal preference for the above choices. See more

Revisiting this place after they moved to Sai wan recently, generally speaking, though the steak was pretty tender however was slightly overcooked, lacked of succulent and crispy edges texture. Also came with black beans and chorizo too. As for dessert, Light, smooth texture with a subtle sweetness of a white rabbit panacotta , topped with strawberry sorbet and butterfly pea jelly, perfect for a sweet treat to end a meal 🍓🦋 See more

Revisiting this place to taste the matcha mochi cake which wasn't available last time, personally thought the taste of matcha was a bit bitter yet loved the crumbly tarte base which was made with wheat and the texture of the cheesecake was rich and intense enough. Also had the orange peel earl grey bagel, didn't expect the texture of bagel was soft and chewy yet the flavour of earl grey was overpowered by orange peel unfortunately, however the flavour of earl grey jam was intense enough to compensate the earl grey flavour in the bagel 😌. New kids on the block - A new cafe has recently opened in Wanchai which offers selected choices of brunches and tapas, last, but not the least, wouldn't leave here without having one cup of their signature coffees 😌. Opted myself with a plate of "lobster Benedict with salty egg hollandaise", consisted of Boston lobster, beer bread, poached egg, kale and salted egg. Generally speaking, the texture of lobster meat was pretty fresh and bouncy, the beer bread was soft, moist on the inside with a chewy texture on the outside, topped with the gooey poached egg and tossed with a intense flavor of salty egg hollandaise sauce to finish off. Also, when ordering milk coffee, you have a choice of selecting the coffee blend of fruity or choco, tried both blends and thought the fruity blend tasted a bit subtle and the choco blend was a bit too milky. This little cafe consists of a bright, simple white interior and cool white marble tables. They mainly serve breakfast dishes from classics to morning feasts which allow you to choose from. Their signature French toast is a must order item which has a crispy exterior and a soft, eggy inside texture. Also, as for breakfast savory item, their crispy, soft brioche bun sandwiched with silky, smooth omelette and bacon fillings is a good option to have . See more

Came on a weekend afternoon where no queues were required, opted the Hainan chicken rice (海南雞飯),pork noodles (豬肉船麵)and the Thai fried shrimp cake (泰式炸蝦餅). Generally speaking, portions were reasonable given the price tags range from $20-30, the textures of the hainan chicken were lean and tender yet there were hardly any pork in the pork noodles however the soup base was intense enough and the texture of the noodles were pretty smooth. Last, but not the least, preferred the fried shrimp cakes to be more crispy rather than chewy and the battered skin was a bit thick too. See more

Came across this old style of chaan chan tang which nested in an unobtrusive inner street of hung hom while I was strolling this area, didn't expect this bowl of pork chop noodles was absolutely tasty, the texture of pork chop was incredibly tender and the pork chop was made to order via pan fried, as a result, the temperature of the pork chop still maintained pretty warm when they served with noodles(福麵). Last, but not the least, I have added an extra filling of cuttlefish(章魚餅)which was on a secret menu and the texture was bouncy too 😋. Definitely will be back to get the pork chop egg sandwich which was recommend by staff when I was about to leave. See more

When people hunt for food in this area, I guess most of the people will know which are the two famous chaan cha teng places that I am referring to? Therefore, most of the people may have overlook this place which serves their signature pork chop rice. Generally speaking, the way they cooked the pork chop under the process of marinate, pan-fried and deep-fried is perfectly done, as a result, the texture of the pork chops turn out to be really tender and tasty and the rice is moist and not dry at all. I visited twice here due to the fact that the sweet purple potato cake sold out on my first visit, generally speaking, comparing the one that I had in FooDo recently, the texture of the caramel crunch chiffon cake here is even more smooth and creamier which topped with scrumptious of crispy caramel crunch, really worth trying it. Also, for those who is a fan of purple sweet potato or not, still worth getting this because the flavour of sweet potato is incredibly intense which combines with smooth, creamy texture of the mashed sweet potato inside. Strolling along the bustling suburban of North Point where you will walk pass this little Thai food shop nested on a inconspicuous corner of Java Road, serves authentic Thai snacks, noodles and rice dishes which run by local Thai people. Opt one of the signature dishes , "pad krapstow, fried egg with rice "( 泰式拋打豬肉抄飯), consists of minced pork and fried sunny egg which topped with red chili pepper, generally speaking, the minced pork is perfectly cooked in a stir fried method, texture is surprisingly very tasty and not dry at all, however personally find the textures of both cuttlefish and chicken skewers are rather soft, not tender or bouncy at all. Strolling along this neighborhood and co incidentally spotted this takeaway sashimi bento shop had comfortable seatings which compared to their branch in Wanchai only available for takeaway. Opted the "津別丼" which consisted of associated sashimi and amaebi(甜蝦), given that the price tag of the bento box was $78, didn't expect that quality was quite fresh and tasted not bad at all. See more

This place is one of my wish list cafes to visit yet for those people living on the other side of the island would consider to be quite far for them. Opt the pancakes topped with strawberries sauce and served with diced fresh strawberries, the texture of the pancakes are pretty soft, moist which combine with a intense eggy flavor however I have experience long queues during weekend so would be better to visit on weekdays. Randomly spotted this little burger shop nestled in sai ying pun on water street, generally speaking , the quality of this double cheese burger was surprisingly good, the texture of the bun was soft with a hint of crispiness on the outside and the beef patty was succulent and tender. Also, came along with molten cheese, lettuce and tomato too. Just bear in mind that it's better off to visit here when the weather gets cooler because there are only outdoor seats available !! If I haven't had cremia for their milk soft serve, would consider the milk soft serve here is intense enough yet the texture is rather icy. However, in terms of texture and intensiveness, cremia has a more pronounced milk flavor which combines with a smooth and creamy texture. Also, the cone has a strong buttery cookie texture too. Found this new bakery opened in this area recently which offers a variety of pastries such as croissant, cinnamon roll, pain aux raisins and chocolatine. Apart from pastries, they also have icecream and cold dog as well. I am attracted by the illustrations of the cold dog at the shop, so I opt one. It is made with soft brioche bread, filled with chocolate cream and cherry sorbet, topped with crunchy crumble, served with crispy lemon meringue fries!! See more

Had a decent shaved snow ice (草苺醬酒釀粉玉雪花冰)tucked inside a grocery store, this shaved snow ice consisted of scrumptious strawberries, strawberries sauce and mochi. Generally speaking, texture of the shaved snow ice was incredibly fine and the strawberries sauce wasn't overly sweet . Last, but not the least, the size of the mochi was huge and chewy too 😋.
