Check-In Taipei Cafe
I only like bubble tea when there's baileys in it 🍸 The cocktail menu here is very creative, especially loving the addition of Taiwanese elements. The drunken bubble tea consist of earl grey infused vodka, baileys, bleach tea and honey, with a burning cinnamon stick on top - got to dip the cinnamon in the drink and swirl it around to add some smoky aroma to the cocktail! It's a bonus that the tapioca pearls are very chewy as well! The crispy chicken here are finger lickin good! Juicy meat coated with crunchy ripples, deliciously paired with their signature yuzu and black truffle sauces. I personally prefer the yuzu dip, it's light and zesty, and it'll make you want more See more

DALLOYAU(Admiralty) French
There's now a Dalloyau cafe at Pacific Place! I've always loved their opera cake, but I'm not too sure about this one - layers of almond sponge, truffle syrup vanilla buttercream with dark chocolate glaze. I love the truffle aroma, but the sponge was dry and the buttercream was very dense See more

Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory, LCX Tsim Sha Tsui Sweets/Dessert
That feeling when you're trying to split a biscuit in half and this happened :( The cookies from the box came in 2 flavours: Salt & Camembert and Honey & Gorgonzola. They taste quite similar since the cheese flavours were too strong, but I like how crispy the biscuits are! See more

上物 Dim Sum
A little getaway from the bustling streets of Mong Kok. The earl grey roll cake was delicious with strong earl grey aroma. The sponge to cream ratio was just right so there was a decent amount of cream in every bite. I heard that their houjicha roll cake is even better! See more

Tyfun Dim Sum Dim Sum
This panda bun is too fun! I'm glad it's not just gimmicks, the dim sums here are actually not bad! The restaurant was quite quiet on a Sunday evening since I don't think many people know about this place, which makes it the perfect location to relax and enjoy the evening See more

Café Golden Italian
Coffee hour is always my golden hour. This cafe is hidden in the jockey club arts centre in shek kip mei, quite popular amongst the university students in that area but otherwise, not known to others. The pasta dishes here are quite nice I had the pumpkin pasta and the homemade purée was made with real pumpkin. Coffee was decent as well! See more

Nakamura Tokichi Japanese
My favourite place for matcha and houjicha desserts! It was probably the third time I had the houjicha parfait, and it was delicious as always. It was only my first time to try the houjicha kakigori, but I'm not a fan of it. The best part of this kakigori is... the matcha/houjicha soft serve on top. The shaved ice was quite fluffy but the houjicha sauce was wayy too sweet. Better stick to Shari Shari for kakigori! See more

Le Pan French
Throwback to my birthday meal at Le Pan from last year! Service was excellent, with several outstanding dishes such as the blue lobster, caviar with sea urchin, and of course, the deconstructed Black Forest cake. However, the pigeon for main didn't work for me, mainly because I'm really not a fan of pigeons. Le Pan's signature starter is the oscietra caviar, with uni and botan shrimp beneath the layer of crustacean jelly, topped with a generous amount of oscietra caviar. It's a wonderful blend of the sea. All in all, I think Le Pan's a good place for celebrations and it's worth a try! See more

ÉPURE French
Although I didn't have a great experience at Épure, I do agree that the vol au vent is a must have - flaky puff ring with a perfectly pan-seared scallop, topped with rich liquorice flavoured purée when served. The mushroom soup I had for starters was slightly disappointing, the flavours were mild and I didn't like the idea of gnocchi in the soup. The service here was pretty appalling for a fine dining restaurant, a few of the waiters who served us came across as rude with their attitude, so I don't think I'll visit again. The macaron tower is from Dalloyau. Their macarons have the right level of sweetness, and although the macaron shells weren't crispy on the outside, they're very chewy. I like it a lot!! See more

Give Meow A Break Cafe
Have a break with meow. Inside this small hidden cafe in Central, you'll find a cat shopkeeper and a delicious selection of pasta and homemade desserts. The ravioli was simple and comforting, and the homemade cinnamon creme caramel I had for dessert was gorgeous! The owner is a cat lover and her cats go on rota to be the shopkeeper. Chillazy Dessert Sweets/Dessert
It's SO COLD outside I just want to chill and be lazy. The coconut panna cotta looked very smooth on the outside, but the texture was denser than expected when I digged in. I like the surprise of finding some jelly at the bottom of the bowl and the touch of floral note from the rose petals. Desserts here are decent overall, a good choice when you happen to be around the area! See more

Dim Sum Library Chinese
I had my doubts before visiting this restaurant as its name sounds like those dodgy Chinese restaurants in England, but the dim sums here are actually quite nice! You can't judge a book by its name! The char siu was made fancy with gold foil. The pork was moist and tender, wish that it was more flavourful though. The mango lava roll was wrapped with crispy almond flakes with warm mango custard in the middle, delicious! See more

The Chairman Restaurant Seafood
The steamed flower crab is certainly the most crabtivating dish at The Chairman! The flesh of the crab had such a clean and sweet scent to it, and the flat rice noodles had just the right texture - fresh and not too soggy. They soaked up the wine sauce really well, delicious! Goji berries ice cream - Such a great idea to incorporate this traditional Chinese superfood into ice cream, it was a shame that it wasn't completely defrosted when served though See more

BALLS, gotta have them! Only 27 days left to the 100 days pop up restaurant by Pirata group! An interesting concept where each chef from the group designed a meatball dish using different meats, all put together in one menu. Tasting Court Chinese Cuisine Seafood
Dinner at this private kitchen in Happy Valley was absolutely amazing! We had a 13 course dinner and I was impressed by the majority of dishes we had. The deep fried crab ball was soo crispy; the baked chicken had the biggest wow factor as the whole chicken was baked inside a giant loaf of bread; even the prawn roe stirred noodle at the very end was to die for!! Highly recommended See more

Planned a hike trip just to try this ginger milk curd! Farm milk co. is located at the beginning of a hiking trail in Yuen Long, so it's a good way to gain some calories before we burn them. What's a Christmas dinner without turkey? Had a Christmas gathering at Jamie's and we got a whole roasted turkey from the Christmas menu! The turkey was served with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and honey glazed carrots, it was moist and flavourful. Le Jardin de France French
The experience of dining at Le Jardin de France felt like a deflating balloon. It started off with amazing starters, mains were good (we had scallops), and it all went downhill from then on. For some reason, the petit fours came with pre-desserts. They were both decent, without much surprises, and desserts were lazy. Favourite would be the souffléed hen's egg with apple and chestnut compote, cep mushroom and a light bouillon. Love the surprise runny egg yolk in the centre! See more

Cafe Schaefer
Black Forest cake is a must in the Black Forest! Cafe Schaefer uses the original recipe of the Black Forest cake, passed on to the cafe owner by its inventor Josef Keller. The cake had a surprisingly remarkable taste of kirsch liquor, found at the top layer chocolate sponge and the layer of cherries at the bottom. It felt very light, with thick layers of cream in between thin layers of chocolate sponge, although I'd prefer less cream and more chocolate See more

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal French
Dinner by Heston is always a promising choice for a nice meal out. For me, the choice of ingredients were safe, every course was excellent but there was nothing too exciting. Having said that, it was my second visit, so I must be impressed the first time to come back! I had the sherried scallop for starter, with scallop tartare, grilled shiitake & sherry, and mushroom broth. Donostia! I can safely say that it's my favourite restaurant in London. I love the lively and casual vibes, friendly service and of course, the finger licking tapas. It’s been 2 years since my last visit and there are many unfamiliar faces in the kitchen and on the floor, but I’m glad that the food quality’s well maintained.
